Reflection

  Reflection Reflection      There are times that I question my decisions, but I know that GOD has a plan for me, and I thank HIM every day for my accomplishments. As I look at my third graders, I ask GOD to help me guide them to learn, grow, mature, and prepare them for their future education. Proverbs 4:13 tells us, “Take hold of instruction; do not let go. Guard her, for she is your life.”      I work hard at incorporating technology into just about every lesson. But as we all know, learning a new program can be time consuming and a daunting task. This course has given me so much confidence about learning new technology programs. As a teacher, I know that I can learn it and teach it to my students. They may even teach me a few things or two.      My current objective and future plans are to learn technology programs that will help my students understand and master new skills that are on their learning level. Technology Trends Infographic
Assistive Technology Technology is incorporated into my daily lessons. The technology tools I choose are designed for students of all learning levels. The two I use the most are PebbleGo and Khan Academy. Both programs have assistive technology embedded because they are designed to meet their ability level and they both have audio and visual capabilities. PebbleGo has books for every genre. There are books on animals, biographies, and even informational articles, just to name a few. Students have the choice of reading the book independently, read with a classmate, or listen to the audiobook while they follow along. PebbleGo offers books on reading levels for grades K-3.              Khan Academy offers support in math. I control what goes into each student’s portfolio.
